The fixture has been changed up in 2020, with Leeton, Griffith and West Wyalong entering the competition, which will be held over two separate weekends.
It meant that all sides played each other in Leeton over the weekend with the highest placed team in both the men's and women's advancing into the grand final while the other two sides meet to see who will be the other team through.
The Demons men's side started the weekend with a strong performance over Leeton with a 60-27 victory.
Nathan Richards lead the way with 14 points while Isaac Testoni also had a good day in posting 11 points.
The Griffith side then backed up that performance with a 15-point win over West Wyalong.
Bailey Schneeberger posted 17 points for the Wildcats while for the Demons, Liam Blanch scored 15 points while Testoni had another strong game with 14 points.
With the two wins, Griffith advanced straight into the grand final, and it was the same story for the women's side.
Jenna Richards, 17 points, and Abby Favell, 16 points, had strong games for Griffith in their opening game against Leeton as they picked up a 75-47 victory.
It was a nail-biting clash with the Wildcats in the second game with Giordan Pastro having a great game with 19 points while Favell was a keen contributor once again with 15 points as Griffith secured a 54-52 win.
The Griffith sides will face the winner of the playoff in the grand final next weekend in West Wyalong.
