"I've had so much support from people. I can't actually get them to the shops because I keep selling out," Ms Turner joked.
"I bake them and then they go because they are really fresh for everybody so it's quite exciting."
The drive to support local growers and celebrate the high quality produce that comes from the Griffith area has been Ms Turner's vision making the crackers. She has so far sourced prunes, walnuts, cherries, almonds and flour all from the Griffith area and villages.
"My big thing from living here is that you should support local growers and that's what Mirrool Cottage is," Ms Turner said.
"I grew up here so I guess I know all the farmers, I like seasonal foods and people work hard here they deserve to have the support.
Ms Turner always had the plan to retire and then start a small business for herself however, Mirrool Cottage couldn't wait for retirement.
"This was a long term plan. I knew that when I retired I didn't want to become disconnected from the community," Ms Turner explained.
"That was the thinking but probably not thinking it would happen so soon.
"I'm really enjoying it. I can't explain it, it makes me feel so calm and contented."
Things have only just begun for Mirrool Cottage who currently supply Yarran Wines, Riverina Hampers and Lesley's Homewares with crackers.
"It's the beginning of where I think it's going to go. For now it's so much fun just baking."
