The NSW Department of Education has said it isn't naming the schools affected, but The Irrigator believes Yanco Agricultural High School staff have received similar threatening emails that were sent to around 20 schools in Sydney on October 27.
NSW Police said more than 10 high schools in regional NSW have received a similar email today.
A spokesman from NSW Police - Southern Region confirmed operations were underway at several schools across Southern NSW after reports a threatening email was received.

"Students and staff have been evacuated from several locations," the spokesman said.
"There are no reports of any injuries.
"No further information is available."
Yanco Agricultural High School has posted on its Facebook page in the last hour asking parents and carers of students to check their emails.
Detectives from the Cybercrime Squad have established Strike Force Rolum to investigate the circumstances and origins of the emails.
Police are working with the Department of Education to ensure the safety of all school communities and appropriate notifications and information is provided to parents and students of affected schools.
Year 12 students had this morning been sitting their Biology Higher School Certificate exam when the threatening emails came through, meaning they were disrupted while the appropriate safety procedures were followed.
It is believed this afternoon's exams will continue as scheduled unless students are advised otherwise by their school.
NSW Police, the NSW Department of Education and the state's Minister for Police and Emergency Services David Elliott are expected to be address the media later this afternoon.
