She had to work hard as competition was tense with Nate Mingay, Tom Makerras and Harry Morshead all with a chance of taking the trophy.
Chloe on 261 points was only 7 points ahead of Nate on 254 points and Harry was 3rd on 245 points.
On the day Ruby Kenny stole line honours followed by Nate Mingay and Ella Savage in 3rd place. Ella was the fastest female on the day and set the fastest time for females in this competition. She doesn't run hard every week, just when it counts.
The Long course trophy was already decided, and one would have expected Britt Mayo to enjoy a cruisy run, but as she said, "it would be unsporting to slacken off just because she had the trophy in the bag."
Derek Goullet and John Johns tied for second place in the Arsova competition with 161 points each. Johns, the third eldest Feral, proves there is still plenty of life in veterans.
The winds following Saturday's downpour created ideal running conditions. Adrian Serafin took line honours in the long course followed by Jeanette Codognotto and Derek Goullet. Goullet's long course PB in race 9 was at a pace of 4m14s per kilometre was equal to Nate Mingay's short course PB pace in race 5.
Next week's run is the Shank's Pony and the course can be found on the Feral webpage.
The catch is that there is a mystery to this event and race director Neil Palframan is still tight lipped promising only to reveal the secret next Saturday.
