The 44th Annual General Meeting will take place Tuesday 27 October at the Griffith Community Centre at 5.30pm. The management committee wants to encourage motivated people who have a passion for the Griffith community to attend and possibly consider nominating for committee positions.
The Committee includes 12 members with a range of skill sets however, this year in particular the centre is calling for people to get involved who may have a background in finance and administration to meet particular committee vacancies.
Understanding broader community needs and potential creative ideas for future projects and programs is something that participants should consider if interested in getting involved with the centre. No great time commitment is expected to be a part of the committee.
With exciting times ahead for Griffith's community centre as they plan to relocate into the new purpose built centre in Olympic street. The centre's vision in the new building is not just to cater for service providers but to be a welcoming place for all members of the community.
