After the postponement and then cancellation of the 2020 event, organiser Roly Zappacosta is confident a COVID safe event will take place next year.
"We've been eagerly awaiting any new information about COVID restrictions and we're seeing how other field days are getting back into the swing of things so we are confident we too can implement a COVID safe event for everyone to enjoy 2021," Mr Zappacosta said.
"Behind the scenes our team is adapting to a new model of implementing such an enormous event. Tickets will only be available online for contract tracing purposes, we'll have a COVID Safety Officer on site to ensure compliance and manage capacity numbers in both indoor and outdoor spaces with sanitiser available everywhere."
With travelling exhibitors coming to town, The Riverina Field Days wants to reassure the community that the health and well being of our community is paramount and will always take priority.
"We will consistently monitor the situation and will release any COVID measures for exhibitors next year once we know what we're dealing with."
Despite the uncertainly of border restrictions and what the COVID landscape will look like next year, organisers are still keen to see local events revived for the survival of businesses.
"Events such as The Riverina Field Days are so important for the community, for tourism and for our local economy. I also think the community want to get back to normality," Mr Zappacosta said.
This year's event had been set to have a huge focus on farmer health and well-being, which The Riverina Field Days hopes to shine a light on again in 2021.
"Given what we've experienced this year, mental health is very important for not just farmers but for the whole community and we hope to have many exhibitors back on board to assist with our message.
"Normally applications don't open until December, but due to the new model we must prepare much earlier and asking exhibitors to please get in contact with us as soon as possible to secure your site."
