After winning the toss, Panthers sent Hanwood into the field during the first 50 over game in GDCA's top grade. Panthers eventually ran up a total of 198 over 42 overs.
Bozic said he just "had a bit of luck".
"I've only got one batting style, I like to score some runs and put on a bit of a show," he said.
"It doesn't always work out, but it definitely did yesterday."
It's the first century that Bozic's scored and he's coming close in the past posting 90 runs three times.
"I know why they call it the nervous 90s, I've scored three 90s before and I've always fallen short and gotten out."
On Saturday Bozic said he'd done his best to stay calm and remain patient while keeping a close eye on the electronic scoreboard at Exies Oval.
"I went from 30 to 80 pretty quickly, and I thought I was close and played a little more patiently from there."
He laid foundation for the team's run count and saw six batting partners as Hanwood worked their way through the Panthers' batting order.
"I thought if I go, we could be in trouble," Bozic said.
Bozic was looking to keep watch in the field after his batting efforts, but he said captain Reece Matheson asked him to make a few deliveries.
"No one else was having luck, once one (wicket) went, it all came together and they went one after the other," he said.
Hanwood's Luke Docherty scored 32 runs and the next best was Oliver Bartter on 28 and Talwinder Signh with 24 runs.
Hanwood were all out for 160 after 44.2 overs.
Bozic said it was only the first game and as the season wears he expects the competition to sharpen up.
"We've only had two weeks of training and there's still a lot to work on," he said.
"It's good to be back playing sport. At the end of the day we just want to have fun, socialise and keep fit."
Hanwood will have the bye next weekend, while Panthers play the Exies Eagles at Westend Oval.
