The generous act came as an effort to support fellow students suffering from life-threatening illnesses, and over $10,000 was raised for the cause.
"It's been so worth it, the whole community and the whole school have come together to do this," organiser Rebecca Groat said.
"We've brought everyone together and really lifted school spirit I think. We'll never forget this."
Principal Peter King and teacher Ms Dooley also took part, commending the students for their efforts and contributing to the charitable effort.
"I really want to acknowledge the hard work of year 12 in this fundraising effort," Mr King said.
"I'm very proud of them for their generosity and community spirit."
"Ms Dooley said that if we get past $7,000 she would shave her head, and we got to 10," student Matthew Hutchinson laughed.
"Hopefully the younger kids might look at us and strive to do a similar thing when they're in year 12."
According to the school captains, Rebecca Groat and Matthew Hutchinson, the inspiration came to them when they were in year 7 and their senior cohort did a head shave.
After collaborating and confirming the idea, MRHS Student Representative Council set an initial target of $3,000 but managed to surpass it beyond their wildest expectations.
"We just wanted to show support for our fellow students, that's a huge thing we want to push going forward," student Alyce Woodward said.
"The support from local businesses has been amazing, they've donated so much and been so helpful."
"Especially this year, something needed to be brought in this year," student Raiya Gyles added.
"We set our goal at $3,000 and now to raise over $10,000 is absolutely incredible."
