It was a difficult weekend for the Griffith Swans junior sides in the penultimate round before finals as they took to the play surfaces at Exies Oval.

On Saturday it was the Swans White side who took centre stage as they took on Narrandera and Barellan.
On the football field, it was a tough start to the day with the under 11s falling to a 12.11 (83) to 1.2 (8) while it was also a difficult result for the under 13s with the Eagles coming away with a 14.7 (91) to 6.9 (45) victory over the Swans.
The White side was able to pick up one win on the football field over the weekend with the under 15s coming away with a 12.7 (79) to 11.11 (77) victory over the Eagles.
It was a tough day on the netball courts as well with the under 11s falling to a 47-7 defeat at the hands of Narrandera and a 43-6 loss to Barellan.
In the under 13s they started with a 29-19 loss at the hands of Barellan but were able to keep in touch with second place with an 18-10 victory over the Eagles.
The battle for the under 15s minor premiership will roll on for another week as Griffith White were able to pick up a 37-26 win over Narrandera before falling to a 31-21 defeat at the hands of Barellan.
On Sunday, Griffith Red welcomed their local rivals Leeton-Whitton to Exies Oval.
Harrison Waide and Xavier Spiers were the goal kickers for the under 11s side who fell to a 6.11 (47) to 3.1 (19) defeat at the hands of the Crows.
It was another tough outing for the under 13s as they fell to a 12.10 (82) to 6.4 (40) defeat with Charlie Tuohey kicking three goals while Zachary Spiers, Kieran Casey and Ethan Inggs kicked a goal each.
The Swans were able to finish the day on the football field on a positive note picking up a 16-point win over their arch-rivals.
Kyle Jamieson kicked three goals while Todd Hammond, Josh Trotter, Jack Inglis, Brayden Forrester, Mason Salverstro and Brandon Burns kicked a goal each in their 9.9 (63) to 7.5 (47) victory.
On the netball courts, it was a tough day for the Swans Red sides.
They started with a 12-12 draw in the under 11s before falling to defeats at the hands of Leeton Blue (65-10) and Leeton Red (29-14).
The under 15s fell to a surprise 39-34 defeat which now means the battle for the minor premiership will go into the final round with Narrandera, Griffith Red and Griffith White separated by just four points.
In the final round, Griffith Red will take on Narrandera at Exies Oval while Griffith White will make the journey down Irrigation Way to take on Leeton-Whitton.
