So instead, the winners of Griffith's Shed for Men raffle has been drawn in time for Father's Day.
The fist prize which was created and then donated to the men's shed by Terri Robinson.
It took Mrs Robinson to 12 months to complete the cross stitched image.
"It was just blank piece of white cloth," she said.
The second prize of wine was donated by De Bortoli Wines and Driver Cut 'n Curl donated third prize.
Shed for Men president Angelo Maloni said the proceeds would be used to buy much needed supplies like nails and screws used for their community projects, as well as helping to improve the shed.
"We'll put that money back into the community and the committee is thinking about some plants and trees for the shed," Mr Maloni said.
As well as their community projects with Pioneer's Lodge and primary schools, shed members help make repairs to old furniture and children's bicycles.
The raffle's first prize was won by Jane Brown, Hayley Chitts won second and third went to M Carnell.
