NSW Health is inviting community members from the city and surrounds to share their creative talent and ideas to enhance the new hospital under a new Arts in Health program.
An arts advisory working group will be established to support the redevelopment, with space in the group for two volunteer community representatives.
"Incorporating arts and culture in health facilities has a profoundly beneficial impact on the wellbeing and experiences of patients, carers and staff," Health Infrastructure chief executive Rebecca Wark said.

"It extends beyond creating artwork for walls to working with communities to ensure strong connections between local culture and the building's design, interiors and landscaping."
The working group's aim is to identify opportunities to integrate a raft of culturally-appropriate art forms in the hospital to contribute positively to health and wellbeing.
Greg Brylski, Griffith Base Hospital General Manager said he valued the opportunity this program will provide to the Griffith redevelopment.
"This program provides us with an opportunity to have some great local involvement and a positive therapeutic legacy in our new hospital," said Mr Brylski.
"Integrating Arts in Health is one way we can also improve cultural connections and generate a sense of community pride and ownership in our new hospital."
Those interested in joining the working group can submit their expression of interest by filling out application forms at mlhd.health.nsw.gov.au/GBHRedev.
