Last weekend was the first time that both teams had featured at the same ground with Junee taking on Kangaroos who the two sides are affiliated with.
In the 16s, it was the Blueheelers taking on Junee, and it was an encounter that went right down the wire as to be expected with two of the undefeated teams facing off.
The sides traded early tries before two quick tries gave Junee a 12-point advantage before Semisi Liu crashed over to close the gap to within six points.
The Blueheelers weren't able to overturn the deficit, and the Diesels were able to pick up the points and keep their undefeated start to the season alive.
It was a homecoming of sorts for Nigel Plum who coached the under 18s side against his junior club in the Kangaroos, who were undefeated after the first three rounds.
As the rain continued to fall and the ground got soggier, the two sides fought it out in a physical encounter with lots of drop ball from both sides.
The Kangeroos were able to get over first, but their lead was short-lived with Deakin Bright able to get over the line for the Blueheelers.
The sides traded tries again before the Kangaroos got out to a 16-8 lead.
The Yenda side wasn't able to close the gap further as they continue their search for their first win of the season.
Despite the result, coach Nigel Plum was pleased with his side's effort.
"The defensive efforts from both sides were of a high standard, a lot of forced errors due to shoulder contact on the ball," he said.
"The team put together there best performance of the season, a lot of positives came from the game. A good platform to build on going into the second half of the season."
This weekend presents the Blueheelers with a great chance to break their duck in the under 18s as they face off with Southcity Bulls who are also searching for their first win of the season.
It will be another tough game for the under 16s who will take on Gundagai Tigers who are also undefeated after the first four games.
