Rowston was apart of the Giants Futures team who took on the Sydney Swans last weekend alongside Leeton-Whitton's Angus Crelley.
The Giants side will look to bounce back this weekend when they take on the Swans again with Taine Moraschi added to the squad for the second rounds of the Futures Northern Academy Series.
Meanwhile, Argus will fly the Swans flag in the under 18s side after being brought into the squad after they lost to the Swans in the opening round.
Argus will join up with fellow MIA products in Coleambally's Jack Cullen and Leeton-Whitton's Coopa Steele who both feature in the Giants round one defeat to Sydney.
This weekend the under 18s side will take on Brisbane.
The academy matches will be a rare opportunity for elite junior talent to try to impress recruiters this season, as many junior competitions across the country have been suspended or cancelled, including all competitions in Victoria, because of COVID-19.
