Police said the unknown offenders gained entry into the toilet block at Ted Scobie Oval sometime between 9.30am on August 7 and 9.30am on August 8.
The council-owned toilets are the only ones located at that facility, meaning it is now effectively out-of-action until repairs can be made.
Murrumbidgee Police District Chief Inspector John Wadsworth confirmed both the men's and women's facilities inside the toilet block were damaged during the attack.
"They've entered the toilets and caused significant damage there, as well as to a drinking fountain outside of the toilet block area," he said.
"It's now out of action until it can be fixed."
Chief Inspector Wadsworth urged anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area between the specified time to contact Griffith police or Crime Stoppers.

While he couldn't put an estimate on how much the damage bill will cost, he said it likely wouldn't be a cheap fix for Griffith City Council.
"Everything a council puts in a building like this is to a different standard and can be really expensive and a time-consuming process for them," Chief Inspector Wadsworth said.
Council has been contacted for comment on the vandalism.
