Griffith's Kelly Whelan will pick up the microphone, and her extensive record collection to celebrate the weekend.
Her new program, Feel Good Saturdays with Kel starts this Saturday on 2MIA FM from 1pm to 4pm.
Mrs Whelan will be a familiar voice to many - she's had a number of shows on 95.1FM in the past, including Soul Sisters, the midnight to 1am time slot, as well as filling in for other presenters.
"The thing I love about Griffith is the diversity of the town," she said.
She said the community radio station was one place where the diversity of local voices was on show.
Her new show will keep it upbeat and celebrate some of the good things happening in Griffith, as well as bringing some of the city's talented musicians in to perform in the studio once COVID-19 restrictions are eased.
She said music was there for the good times and the bad.
"I consider myself an eclectic, I love heavy metal right through to Dean Martin," Mrs Whelan said.
She said she wanted to create a feeling of a jukebox playing in the middle of a party.
2MIA FM president Dolf Murwood said Griffith's community radio station was all about "live programs by local people".
Mrs Whelan will take the place of Mike McColl's show which is produced by the Community Radio Network.
"It will be a change for our listeners, but it's going to be a positive for the station in the long term," Mr Murwood said.
