Goals to Anita Cimador and Nicola Zanotto along with an own goal from Cootamundra were enough to give Hanwood the three points and a growing lead at the top of the table.
Anthony Zucatto was pleased with the girls sitting alone at the top of the table after a slow start in the first half.
"We were a bit scratchy in the first half, our passes just weren't sticking," he said.
"We were able to regroup and come out and play much better in the second half.
"We just started to talk and control the game in the second half."
There is only one concern to come out of the game for the Hanwood side with Kandice Bertoldo coming from the field.
"She just pulled up a bit sore in the quad," he said.
"Hopefully it won't be too serious. We will get her into a bit of physio and see how she pulls up. Hopefully, she will be right for next weekend.
Hanwood will now return home for two games at Hanwood Oval first of which will see them take on Junee next weekend.
