Anthony Agresta picked up a hamstring injury during Hanwood's grand final rematch over Lake Albert, and coach Anthony Agresta wasn't sure the extent of the injury.

"He was going to get that looked at this week so I'd assume he would be in doubt for this week, but he would probably be the only one," he said.

As for who will fill the void left by Agresta, the Hanwood coach will look to bring in some young blood.

"I'm probably leaning towards young James Stockwell," he said.

"He has had a pretty good start to the season playing in the reserves, and he filled in off the bench for me last year.

"He is another one of those younger kids who is coming on and its always good to give them a bit of a start and see what they are made of."

Hanwood has had a good run in terms of injuries so far this season, and Agresta knows while his side is finding their feet, consistency with the squad will be key.

"From the week before we only had the one change so it makes things a bit easier and you can start to get that continuity," he said.

"You can't help injuries, but hopefully it isn't too serious, and he (Agresta) might only miss a week or two, but we will shuffle someone in there and make it work."

The win over Lake Albert on the weekend saw the Hanwood side hold their position in the top four with Young sitting just ahead of them on goal difference.

The Lions were the one side who Hanwood were unable to beat in their return season last year, and Agresta is expecting another tight tussle.

"This weekend will be a tricky one again," he said.

"We drew with them here, and they beat us over there so we won't be taking them lightly.

"I know they got done by a fair bit on the weekend by Leeton, but I don't look too much into previous results because you don't know on the day what could happen.

"They had a good young team last year, and I think playing-wise they were one of the better-looking teams, so I'm expecting a tough game this weekend."

The first grade game will kick off at 3.30pm at Hanwood Oval on Sunday.
