The historical site on Banna Avenue will be open every Friday and Saturday, with additional tours also available by appointment.

"If a group or an individual wants to come and look at a display or see some material, they can do that just by making a phone call," volunteer Pat Cox said.

"When there was a sign of the possibility of people being able to move around a little bit more, we determined that we needed to open on a limited basis.

"We're following all of the restrictions in place and we do have a very large space here, so we can accommodate a number of people at any one time."

The ability to see, feel and hear some of Australia's most moving military history is now available once again.

Memorabilia from numerous Australian wars are on display, including DVD's of battles, photos, books, personal interviews and music.

There are also Nominal Rolls of Griffith Servicemen and Women, WW1 and WW2 Honour Rolls currently being exhibited.

"Our primary concern is linking our community to Australia," Ms Cox said.

"The exhibits will show items that were used in warfare and in campaigns."

The museum also boasts a large collection of information surrounding Indigenous Servicemen and Women, with updated versions of Aboriginal Honour and Nominal Rolls that cover a 400 kilometre radius around Griffith.

There is also an extensive range of artifacts from Australian Women's Land Army, paying homage to the female soldiers who called the Riverina home.

"It would be really sad if a resource like this is not used as much as it could be," Ms Cox said.

"People can come here and they can handle and see historical pieces at close quarters."
