While it's easy to look at the negatives of drought, bushfires and low water allocations - things haven't stood still.
Focusing on what's bad is very easy way to miss the bigger picture in our part of the world.
In reality, we have many things to be thankful for and today, that's our distance from virus hotspots and the fact that even if the economy slows everyone still needs to eat food, which we grow plenty of.
Even with good things on the horizon it doesn't mean everything's perfect - there's always room for improvement.
But there's always time to appreciate what's good.
