The data has shown an additional 3,500 workers have been put back on the payroll, breaking a three month streak of continual job losses.
Sureway Employment and Training Griffith, weighed in on the positive trend, with Area Manager Sally Centofanti saying it has been great to see our locals returning to the workforce.
"Our client base did increase by a few hundred in the past few months," Ms Centofanti said.
"Employment has definitely picked back up now, especially in the last four weeks.
"It is excellent to see the community recovering."
The Riverina has gone against the grain when returning to work, with more people actively joining the labour force than anywhere else across the state.
The unemployment rate is currently hovering around 4.6 per cent, which compares favourably to the rest of NSW, where it averages out to 6.2 per cent.
That figure is even higher when factoring in underemployment and JobKeeper.
"The agriculture industry has picked back up, especially in chicken farming," Ms Centofanti explained.
"Hospitality roles are starting to go back to normal as well.
"People heading back to the office has brought a lot of these hospitality roles back, with people grabbing coffee in the morning."
The hospitality and accommodation sectors were hit hardest by the pandemic, but easing restrictions have allowed workers in those fields to return to business as usual.
For those who are still struggling to find employment, Ms Centofanti added a few words of advice.
"The whole community is feeling the effects right now but don't give up, get your resume updated," she said.
"Be flexible to considering smaller opportunities right now, they may lead to other work when the town recovers.
"We have plenty of great support services here in Griffith to help you.
"If you are looking for work or staff give us a call."
