The area's four clubs - the Rotary Clubs of Griffith, Griffith Avanti, Griffith East and Yenda - will now form part of the wider Rotary District 9705.
The merger means the clubs will join 79 other clubs in a district taking in areas including Bega, Nowra, Hay, Parkes and Canberra.
The two regions had previously been joined between 1951 to 1977 before splitting into smaller geographical regions due to communication and geographical challenges.
The region will be overseen by a District Governor who will preside in the role for one year, with the first governor being Dr Michael Moore from Canberra.
Each area will also have an Area Governor who will preside over a certain part of the wider region, with Grenfell's Rosco Craven presiding over the MIA clubs.

A statement from Rotary Australia said the district merger will allow for clubs to work better together on local and regional projects.
"The merger aims not only to reduce administrative costs but also to allow Rotarians to tap into a larger network of diverse talents and resources in other Rotary Clubs, to further their local and international projects," the statement read.
"Most Rotary projects are local, run by the local Rotary Clubs, but some are best coordinated centrally, by District Committees.
"Modern communications and the use of six 'Area Governors' supporting the District Governor and each working with not more than 15 Rotary Clubs, should facilitate the development of joint regional - as well as local and international - projects."
