While the junior competitions will get underway on July 25, the seniors won't get the chance and while disappointed by that fact coach Ross Marando fully understands the decision.
"It is always a shame when there is no season to play," he said.
"The boys are really disappointed, but they knew the circumstances and what is going on in the world at the moment and looking at the bigger picture."
Yoogali FC had their strongest season in recent memory last year and was able to reach the grand final where they were defeat by Yoogali SC, and Marando hopes they will be able to build on that success next year.
"That was probably our best season in the last six or seven years," he said.
"We have a really good squad who are young, and we had plenty of depth, so I think we were building on something special, but it is only a hiccup.
"Hopefully the boys will all stick together, and hopefully we will be able to come back next year to go again."
The Yoogali coach said plans were already in place to ensure the squad is able to stick together while there may not be a competition to go ahead with.
"We were possible speaking about getting together every week or two just to have a kick and maybe a game between us if we are allowed to just to try and keep the group together," he said.
"Just told them to keep fit however they can and if there is no football, there is always futsal.
"We have a good club, so I hope they stick around, but at the end of the day if they do go and play elsewhere I can't blame them because they love football so if they have to play they have to play.
"Once we are able to get back out there next year hopefully we can bring them all back home and have a good year."
