According to Meat and Livestock Australia's National Livestock Reporting Service numbers more than doubled at this sale with lambs showing the increase.
Quality was fair with good numbers of well finished lambs on offer.
Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs made up the majority of the offering.
Not all the usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market. Trade weights were $6 to $8 easier with 18 to 22kg types selling from $160 to $210/head.
Heavy weights to 26kg were $8 to $12/head cheaper with the absence of buyers. Prices ranged from $203 to $238/head.
Extra heavy weight export lambs were well supplied but slipped $5 to $10 to receive from $243 to $302/head.
Carcase prices averaged from 805c to 917c/kg cwt. Mutton numbers were again very limited and quality was mixed. Merino ewes sold from $176 to $213, while heavy Dorper ewes rmade from $190 to $232/head.
