GRIFFITH'S Metro Service Station has been targeted by an unknown thief, who is believed to have stolen cigarettes and cash.

Around 3.45am on May 31 the glass front door of the building, located in Griffin Avenue, was kicked in by the offender.
Police said the person was wearing white joggers, dark-coloured gloves, black long pants, a dark hooded jumper and was carrying a white bag.

The offender is shown on CCTV footage forcing his way into the store, going behind the counter and filling his bag with an unknown quantity of cigarettes.
He is also alleged to have taken the cash register, which contained about $300.
Murrumbidgee Police District crime co-ordinator Sergeant Cherie Knox said police were calling for witnesses to come forward.
She said all information would be handled confidentially.
