The proposed design of what Griffith's re-developed base hospital will look like have been revealed.
Murrumbidgee Local Health District has released the finished design images as they seek community feedback.
It's the first time residents will get a look at the detailed plans for the new hospital.
"The schematic design builds on the concept design consultation with the hospital's user groups and key stakeholders, including feedback from community that was undertaken late last year," Ms Ludford said.
MLHD is preparing a letterbox drop for residents which include artist's impressions of the buldings, a site plan and further information, a self-addressed envelope will allow residents to send in feedback.
Ms Ludford said the designs had been focused on the hospital's departments and included plans on how rooms and services related to each other within defined areas such as the intensive care unit.
All clinical services in the re-developed hospital will be within one, purpose designed building.
Ms Ludford said the design proposes a three-storey building which will include rehabilitation, emergency department, surgical, and medical inpatient units; as well as maternity, nursery, medical imaging, paediatrics, renal, oncology services and a clinical linkway to the adjoining private hospital.
Another non-clinical building will be built to provide 'back of house' services to support clinical operations.
The plans for the two new buildings include demolition of a number of 'redundant' buildings, new car parking and landscaping.
"There is currently construction activity on-site as the redevelopment includes a number of early and enabling works to allow the continued operation of the health service while the new hospital is being constructed," Ms Ludford said.
The community's feedback is open until July 15, as well as the letterbox drop, residents can send feedback by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
MLHD releasing the documents is the latest milestone for the project, with staff moving into the new ambulatory care hub this month.
