A 30-year-old man was found sitting inside the vehicle in the car park around 11.05pm on May 9 at the intersection of Benerembah Street and Banna Avenue.
The man was spoken to by officers, who told them he was waiting for a friend to collect the car as he "couldn't drive it".
Police said he could not provide any names and was "vague with details".
The man told police he was staying in a motel on the other side of town, but could not provide a reasonable excuse as to why he wasn't abiding by current COVID-19 restrictions.
Police issued the man with a warning for not being at his place of residence as the restrictions continue.
A similar warning was also issued to a 31-year-old man on May 9 around 11.20pm.

As a result, he was issued with a warning for breaching COVID-19 restrictions.
Meanwhile, police are appealing for information after an "unknown number" of offenders entered St Patrick's Catholic Primary School last week.
The offenders didn't attempt to gain access to the school building, but police said they had thrown around garbage bins, as well as smashing three glass windows of a toilet block.
Anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious in that area towards the end of last week should contact police to assist with their inquiries.
