It's been another week in the MIA and while the pubs are still shut, there's still things happening around the city.
Two businesses, Calabria Family Wines and Converte, have received federal funding to enhance the manufacturing work they do in Griffith.
While it's all taxpayer dollars - our dollars - the money will be used to build on the good work these businesses do, which will mean more jobs.
The economic impacts of COVID-19 will be felt for a while yet, getting this city and the country moving will be important for all our benefit.
These grants are a good place to start.
Meanwhile tomorrow is Mother's Day and plenty of dads and sons are scratching their heads wondering what they're going to do because the rules - which are still in place in NSW - make traditions tricky.
Fortunately, we've got a banging recipe for fluffy pancakes if you fancy a risk in the kitchen - or if Mother's Day has just slipped your mind.
Have a good weekend!
