The bridge replacement is the latest part of the Yoogali intersection upgrade.
Replacing the bridge is expected to take at least three months.
People headed to Leeton from Griffith won't be able to cross Main Drain J and will need to divert and use Murray Road to return to Irrigation Way.
Trucks and other heavy vehicles will need to detour through Yenda via the Whitton Stock Route and Burley Griffin Way to reach Griffith.

Traffic will still be able to flow over the rail crossing for people driving to Yenda.
The most recent work on the Yoogali intersection saw an upgrade to the rail crossing which meant part of the intersection was closed for a week.
