This tiny, invisible virus has brought the whole world to its knees, stranded visitors around the world, stopping everyone from leaving and going back home without assistance, shutting down businesses and services as we know it and forcing people to work from home.
Social distancing became a new norm and will stay in people's minds for a very long time.
It has affected our office and volunteers, however, rest assured that we have still been helping those in need regardless.
We have been party to numerous zoom meetings with national multicultural organisations, to discuss community issues.
There are many people stuck in Griffith and surrounds, with tourist visas nearing expiration and we have been discussing ways to address the issues for a good outcome until they are able to travel again.
For your information go to: www.homeaffairs.gov.au and follow the prompts on COVID-19 visa holders.
One outcome of the coronavirus has seen everyone work together to fight and get back to as normal as possible a situation. Rest assured that the scientific and health institutions are working towards a way of protecting people from the virus into the future.
Looking forward to having our office open in the very near future, in the meantime contact us via our Facebook page or phone.
