Griffith's Rural Crime Unit are appealing for information from the community after a dog attacked a sheep in Hanwood.

The attack occurred between 6pm on April 21 and 7am on April 22, on a Brombal Road property. The owner found a White Suffolk ram dead near a fenceline when he checked on the animals.
There were numerous bite marks around the ears and face and wool was scattered around the animal.
Rural investigators are also calling for assistance in locating around $15,000 of stolen laser-levelling equipment from a property at Widgelli.
Between April 10 and April 17, a yellow Trimble GPS base station, a Toomey elevation control system and two solar panels were taken from a property.
The equipment had been left at the farm, before the owner returned to the property to find it missing.
In other police matters, the Griffith pro-active crime team charged a 40-year-old man with possessing a prohibited drug on Wednesday.
Officers stopped the man on the Sturt Highway between Darlington Point and Narrandera. The driver said he had half a gram of crystal methamphetamine in the sunglasses compartment belonging to a friend. Officers searched the man and the car.
He was charged for possessing a prohibited drug.

At 1.35pm on Tuesday, police stopped a 28-year-old man speeding at Darlington Point, he was asked where he was going.
The driver told officers he was travelling to Griffith from Hay to do grocery shopping as it was cheaper to shop at Griffith.
Police issued the man a fine for speeding and a warning for breaching public health orders.
