"I like how culture-rich Griffith is, there is so much diversity here in the community," Mr Blackburn said.
"I really find that interesting, and it's been such a great community to come to."
Mr Blackburn originally hails from Sydney, with his partner-in-crime Ms McKellar arriving from Taree.
Both now officially Griffith residents, they made special note of the warm welcome they have received from the Riverina.
"Everyone here is really friendly," Ms McKellar said.
"They all wave and say hello down the street, which just gives such a good sense of community."
The two fully-qualified paramedics from the graduating class of 2018 have arrived during a difficult time in the world of medicine, but that has failed to deter their efforts, leading by example and always putting patient care at the forefront.

"I'm just excited to be here," Mr Blackburn said.
"We're taking the same precautions as everyone else, just making sure that everyone is safe and we're safe."
Both Mr Blackburn and Ms McKellar were eagerly anticipating their Griffith posting, excited by the prospect of lending a helping hand in a place with such a strong sense of community.
"Griffith is really, really nice," Ms McKellar said.
"I don't know what else to say, I just really like it here."
Ms McKellar only arrived in Griffith a week ago, but is already loving the friendly atmosphere.
Mr Blackburn set up shop one month ago, and has thoroughly enjoyed meeting the locals during his short stay.
The pair of paramedics have been trained by the best, having already served over 12 months working in the fast-paced environment of Sydney metropolis.
Now, they have been given the opportunity to utilise and expand upon their valuable skillset within the MIA.
