In a statement released on Monday morning, MLHD announced there have been no new cases confirmed within the health district for the second consecutive day, with the count for the region staying at 42 as of 8am on April 6.
The health district also saw no new confirmed cases in the 24-hour period between 8am on April 4 and 8am on April 5.
A total of 2080 people in the MLHD area have been tested for COVID-19 as of 8am on April 6.
The update comes as MLHD changes the hours of the district's COVID-19 hotline, with the hotline now operating seven days a week from 7am to 9pm.
Those who are wishing to be assessed and tested for COVID-19 are recommended to contact the hotline on 1800 831 099.
MLHD chief executive Jill Ludford said the health district is looking to identify cases as early as possible to further reduce transmission.
"NSW Health recently broadened the testing criteria for COVID-19 and MLHD has expanded further to include any person with symptoms of respiratory illness, regardless of travel or contact history," Ms Ludford said.
"This will provide for a better understanding of the prevalence of COVID-19 in our communities as well as early identification of any cases to prevent further transmission."
