The decision was made in close consultation with each Football NSW Association and allows for the focus to be on ensuring that grassroots clubs play as many matches as possible within their local competitions during 2020.
Football NSW said they appreciate how much the clubs and their players enjoy playing in the State Cup and are looking forward to organising it in 2021.
The competition had been a popular competition for clubs around the MIA over recent years with Leeton United reaching the quarter-finals stage last year while Yoogali SC made it through to the round of 32 before being knockout out.
The best performance from a senior men's team in recent years came from Hanwood in 2017 who made it through to the semi-finals.
