The board of the Griffith Golf Club, in line with regulations laid down by the government in regards to the coronavirus crisis, has closed the clubhouse until further notice.

The club will operate out of the pro shop, and at this stage the course will be open to play.
The course renovation has been cancelled, so the course will not be closed this week. Check with the pro shop on 6962 3742 in regards to competitions. There will be no competition today. Members will be updated on the situation ahead following a meeting of the club board.
Saturday's event was a single stableford with 70 players.
John Badoco played the shot of his life on the 16th, using a three-wood, and aced the hole.
Brett Angel, 39 points, won A Grade, nailing a birdie on the 12th, from Brad Lemon, 37 points, carding birdies on the 6th, 12th and 13th.
Trent Anderson, 37 points, won B Grade, draining birdies on the 5th and 15th. Runner-up was Dom Guglielmino, 34 points, with four pars.
Steve Carruthers, 37 points, won C Grade, with a birdie on the 6th, ahead of Graeme Trevett, 34 points.
Sam Ranney and Jason Magoci won the Pro Pins. Par Threes: 4th Robin Salvestro, 7th Ngarau Noa,11th Max Turner, 16th John Badoco. Vouchers: 32 points.
A solid field of 52 players contested another single stableford on Sunday.
Mike Coleman, 38 points, won from Tiuru Phillip, 37 points.
Jim Dickie had the best weekend score of 42 points ahead of Andy Arnold, 38 points.
Justin Curtis, 38 points, won C Grade ahead of Brad Hillyer, 37 points. Don Coleman won the 7th pin, Anthony Ross 16th. Vouchers to 32 points.
Both the Southern Cotton Growers Charity Day and the Pro Am have been postponed to later dates. The Pro Am is unlikely to held until September.

The veterans played a single stableford in two grades last Thursday.
Doug McWilliam, 35 points, won the 0-20 Grade from Geoff Smith, 35 points, on a countback from Jim Dickie, 35 points.
Graeme Gifford, 34 points, was best in 21-54 Grade on a countback over John Evans, 34 points. Lindsay Martin won the 4th pin, Rob Trembath 8th, Brad Fawcett 15th. Skeet Milne, Jim Dickie, Byron James. Joe Cudmore won vouchers.
A two-grade single stableford was played last Wednesday.
The 0-18 Grade was won by Brendon Peters, 35 points, on a countback from Ton De Marco, 35 points.
Roy Calabria, 36 points, was best in 19-54 Grade from Don Catanzariti, 29 points. Jason Magoci eagled the 15th to win that pin, Brendon Peters 7th. Vouchers to 31 points.
Saturday and Sunday's events for members are both single stablefords.
