It has been a successful year with a sixth-placed finish in the 100m breaststroke at the NSW State Open Age Championship kick-starting what would be a strong season in the pool.
The success continued to varying degrees for the talented swimmer as she also achieved success at the NSW Country Championships held at Homebush at the end of February.
Taylor finished with a third-place finish in the 15 years girls 200m breaststroke event with a personal best time alongside a fourth and personal best in the 100m breaststroke event and an 11th in the 50m breaststroke event.
At a school level, she was able to break three records at the Murrumbidgee Regional High School Swimming Carnival before heading off to the Riverina Carnival.
She competed in several events including three relays, but the highlight of the event came in the 100m breaststroke when she was able to break a 34-year-old record with a time of 1.18.76 which was over 14 seconds faster than the second-placed swimmer.
Taylor was set to head to the CHS carnival at the start of April however that has now been cancelled due to the ongoing pandemic.
It isn't the only major event to get called off with the National Age Championships which were meant to be held in Perth in April where she would represent the Griffith Swimming Club also being called off due to COVID-19.
