The game was initially set to be played on Friday night however six overs into the second innings of the game rain hit Exies, and the game was called off without a result able to be determined. Thus it had to be replayed entirely on Sunday at Ted Scobie Oval.
The Panthers were under pressure early with Kyle Bennett (2/15) picking up the wickets of Michael Cudmore (2) and Ryan Minato (0) in quick succession to see Leagues sitting on 2/10 after six overs.
Oscar Nolan and Sam Payne got their side back on track with a 29-run partnership before Harrison Steele (1/16) struck to dismiss Oscar Nolan (11) when Mark Bennett caught him.
Sam Payne was joined by his brother Patrick, and together the pair pushed their side towards a defendable score.
Over the next 15 overs, the pair were able to put on 56 runs for the fourth-wicket before Jack Rand struck to remove Sam Payne (33).
Rand (3/17) proved to be a thorn in the side of the Panthers as he picked up the wickets of Leo Forner (1) and Enzo Nolan (0) while Thomas Camm (2/16) dismissed Noah Gaske (0) and Nobeljit Kalsi (0) and Bohdy Martin (1/9) trapped Joel Schaefer (0) in front before running out Cooper James (0) to see the Panthers bowled out for 108.
The Coro side made a strong start to get to 25 before Charlie Jones (4) fell to the bowling of Michael Cudmore (1/29).
Kyle Bennett and Rand but on 15 runs before Bennett (27) fell to the bowling of Forner (1/19) while Steele (4) and Mark Bennett (0) followed closely behind to see Coro fall to 4/45.
Rand (19) and Camm (7) tried to get their side on track and got their team to 72 before another quick three-wicket fell with Gaske (3/23) and Oscar Nolan (1/6) doing the damage.
Martin (13), Joseph Bellicanta (8*) and Ben Wood (5*) were able to get their side over the line with two wickets in hand and three balls remaining.
Coro is now scheduled to take on Hanwood in the third-grade decider on Friday night at Exies No 1 starting at 5.15pm, however, the final will not be going ahead with the GDCA board cancelling the season on Tuesday night after advice from Cricket Australia.
