Appearing in Griffith Local Court on Wednesday, Cody John George O'Farrell, 23, was charged with mid-range drink-driving.
Representing himself, O'Farrell said "I know it was stupid ... that day I went down hill and didn't care for anyone else or myself."

On January 18, O'Farrell was driving along Blumer Avenue around 4.30pm when he accelerated harshly and then skidded for five metres.
Followed by an unmarked police car, they saw him drive over a roundabout, sped up quickly again and skid, leaving a black tire mark on the road. Pulled over by police, he told them "yeah I know, it was dumb."
He was arrested and given a breath analysis, with a result of 0.082. He said he had three cans of Bundaberg Rum and coke with around six vodka Cruisers.
Magistrate Bolous outlined his extensive traffic record over the past few years, with nine demerits lost in just one year and five suspensions since 2013.
"It was really erratic driving - skidding, speeding, in a residential area on a Saturday," she said.

She told him life "has a number of ups and downs" but there was no excuse for endangering others on our roads.
He was convicted, fined $500 and disqualified for four months.

O'Farrell tried his luck and asked for a longer disqualification period instead of having to install an interlock for the minimum period, however due to the requirements for sentencing Ms Boulos said it was an impossibility.
