After a tightly contested first five minutes were both sides tried to find their groove it was the Snow's Excavations side who scored first with Bianca Sutton finding her way over after a break from Lily-Belle Misiloi.
The lead was short-lived with the dangerous Rebecca Groat equalising for the Luna Wild side after making a break down the wing but as the game started to open up Misiloi was able to dive over to restore her side's advantage.
Two quick tries to Luna Wild saw them take the lead into the break with Milla Parr getting over to bring the sides back level before Jessica Conlan was able to run into a gap and score right on the halftime siren to give Luna Wild a 3-2 lead at the break.
Snow's wasted no time in the second half as Misiloi scored her second on the resumption of play and it looked like they had scored another soon after however the play was called back for a forward pass.
Luna Wild made the most of that chance with Conlan racing up the other end to score her second before Snow's hit back almost immediately with Johane Oberholtzer getting over after Shailyn Williams made a break from dummy half.
Misiloi completed her hat-trick to give Snow's their second lead of the match but it was short-lived as the evenly matched sides traded tries with Parr getting over for her second of the game to make it 5-all.
Conlan crossed for her third try of the match to see Luna take the lead late in the game however Misiloi crossed for her fourth try to make the score level at 6-all and that is how it remained when the siren sounded meaning the game headed into drop-off.
After a short break the game got back underway and Snow's came close to ending the game in the early stages of the extra period.
A penalty as the Luna Wild side were advancing down the field gave them a good chance to wrap up the game and they didn't miss the opportunity with Conlan scoring her fourth try of the afternoon just after the two minute mark of the extra period.
Meanwhile in the women's division two grand final S.J.R Industries took out a 5-2 win, division three went to Griffith Laundry Service who took a thrilling 6-5 win over I2R.
