The young keeper-batsman said it was an amazing experience.
"It was great to be able to learn from the experienced coaches, and everyone gelled together really well," he said.
"I loved every moment of it."
Forner was a member of the NSW Magenta side who finished the week-long competition in sixth place out of the ten teams competing.
"When we had our bad day we didn't do too well, but we didn't give up and we able to fight back from that," he said.
On a personal level, Forner got a couple of starts with the bat coming in at around seven or eight in the batting order.
Forner averaged 24 with the bat finishing with a total of 96 runs from his five innings with one not out. His highest score for the competition was 29 which came in his side's four-wicket loss to Western Australia.
Heading into the tournament, Forner had been recovering from a broken thumb he injured on his senior representative debut for Griffith in their Hedditch Cup challenge against Young.
The young keeper was pleased to say he got through without any issue.
"I was lucky to get a couple of training sessions in before the carnival, so I was happy with that," he said.
"It was fully healed up by the time we needed to play, which was good."
It has been a successful year for Forner who has made his first-grade debut for Exies, senior representative debut for Griffith and played for the Murrumbidgee, Riverina and Country Thunder representative sides.
