The Panthers are taking on Exies Eagles this weekend with the two sides fighting for a spot in the top four with 11-point gap between the fourth-placed Eagles and Leagues who are fifth.
Leagues skipper Paul Plummer knows this is a do-or-die clash for his side.
"It is almost a win or the season is over situation," he said.
"We need to win the next two games. We are in the same boat as Exies in knowing that a win this weekend will be crucial."
The Leagues side are heading into the clash with a couple of key players missing however Plummer is still confident in his side's strength.
"We will be missing Conor (Edenden) this weekend, and he has been in great form for us over the last couple of games.
"Fawad (Shah) will also miss the game on Saturday but will be right for the Twenty20s on Sunday."
One of the key players for the Panthers will be Daniel Bozic who made his return two weeks ago and made an immediate impact.
"He hasn't played much cricket over the last couple of years," he said.
"But he has come out and made a couple of starts, and he is hitting the ball well."
The Panthers are coming into the game off the back of a losing draw against Coro and while they fell they missed a chance to pick up 12 points they are taking positives from the clash.
"I had a chat to the boys after the game, and we had our chances, but we didn't capitalise on them as much as we could have," he said.
"To come away with the draw means they didn't walk all over us which I guess is a positive and will give the boys a bit of confidence given they (Coro) are on top of the table."
It is a busy weekend for the first-grade sides with the Don Coleman Twenty20 Shield being contested on Sunday with all teams playing two games on the one day before the final at 5.30pm.
Plummer said he has been struggling to get numbers, but it gives an opportunity for some of the second and third graders the chance to step up and test themselves.
