The first-ever Griffith Soul Family Expo will take over Exies Bagtown on Saturday, with the event aiming to showcase the holistic and alternative health services found in the city.
Griffith Soul Family committee member Rachael Huntly said one of the ideas behind the expo was to help those who work holistically "step out of the shadows" and connect with the wider community.
"Quite often people who work holistically are a little bit [seen as] someone who knows someone who knows someone," Ms Huntly said.
"People go out of town to find these services and don't realise that they are actually here locally."
Stalls promoting local services will be on display, including mediums, oracle and tarot card readers, naturopaths, reiki users and angelic healers all due to have displays on the day while a range of interactive demonstrations will also be running throughout the event, such as making your own oils to a talk on the benefits of salt room therapy.

Committee member Kelly Whelan said there has been an encouraging level of interest for the event, with at least 15 stalls signing up for the inaugural event and plans to expand in the future once the first expo is in the books.
"This is our first year, we didn't expect such a great interest coming from the vendors," Ms Whelan said.
"We are hoping that people will come along and get the benefits of the day.
"People may not have known what options were available to them in the town... if we all came together under the one banner we could showcase what talent and what Griffith has on offer"
Funds raised from the event will be donated to support the Griffith and District Motor Neurone Disease Support Group as well as community radio station 2MIA.
The event will run from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, with entry a gold coin donation.
