Teams going into the quarter-finals - to be completed by Sunday, March 1 - include L. DeValentin/M. Howard who will play J. & J. Gale, C. Barrington/M. Townsend up against R. Salvestro/T. Catanzariti, P. Jones/L. Gilbert v D. Forrester/P. DeMamiel and J. Magoci/T. Bennett play P. Plunkett/T. Anderson.
The club is looking for a member or parent to take up the position of junior promotion officer.
The members event on Saturday was golfer's toughest test, a single versus par with 56 players. Toby Maher, +4, won A Grade, nailing a birdie on the first to card +1 out and +3 home. Runner-up was Dean Minato, +2. Grant Keily, +2, won B Grade, +2 out and square home, ahead of Ngarau Noa +1, nailing a birdie on the first. A score of +4 won the chocolates for Bill Brown in C Grade, with a steady +2 on each nine from Pat Garrett all-square.
Pro pins went to John Harrison and Jason Magoci. Par Threes: 4th Dean Minato, 7th Pat Garrett, 11th Jason Magoci, 16th Ngarau Noa. Jeff Wiscombe eagled the 9th. Vouchers to -3.
There were 40 players in Sunday's single stableford. Ryan Harrison, 38, points won A Grade, nailing a birdie on the 8th, on a countback from Steve Matheson, 38 points, with birdies on the 7th and 18th. Shane Gaffey, 39 points, was best in B Grade, draining a birdie on the 11th. Shannon Windle, 36 points, was the runner-up.
Damon Cafe, 42 points, birdied the 1st and 12th on his way to winning C Grade from Paul Woolnough, 37 points, with a birdie on the 14th. Gerry Cox won the 7th pin, Rod McNabb 16th. Vouchers to 32 points.
The club is registered as an Active Kids provider and parents can apply for their $100 Active Kids vouchers. There are two - one to be used all year and the other between July and December. Joining the club provides a number for freebies. More info is available from the pro shop.

The veterans played a single stableford last Thursday in two grades. Jim Dickie, 38 points, won 0-19 Grade from Gerry Cox, 35. In 20-45 Grade, Wal Hood (39 points) won from Skeet Milne, 36. John Evans won the 7th pin, Gerry Cox 11th, 16th Byron James. Don Catanzariti, Cam Woodside and Doug McWilliam won vouchers. Another single stableford will be played this week. Subs must be paid this week.
In a two-grade single stableford last Wednesday, David Woodside (38 points) was best in 0-18 Grade on a countback from Terry Bennett, 38. In 19-45 Grade, Lee Kimball (34 points) won from Dino Battocchio (32).
Kimball won the 11th pin, Bennett 8th. Vouchers went to 32 points.
