The Each for Equal exhibition was opened at the Griffith Regional Art Gallery on Friday, with the exhibit showcasing artwork from 10 artists who live and practice in the Western Riverina.
Works across a range of mediums - including photography, paintings, a larger installation tackling positivity and body image and weaves - will be on display as part of the exhibition.
One of the artists showcased in the exhibition Lisa Taliano said one of her designs - a collage flipping the birth of Venus - aims to convey the message of how women should be working to help each other.
"What its really saying is that women should help women, we should listen to each other," Ms Taliano said.
"Instead of putting each other down, trying to get a foot up to be in front of someone else, we need to help each other."

Griffith Regional Art Gallery manager Raina Savage said the showcase aims to celebrate the talent of the region's artists and promote a wider theme of celebrating women as part of International Women's Day.
"To celebrate this important occasion the gallery has dedicated an exhibition to recognising the artistic excellence of women artists in our region," Ms Savage said.
"Many of these artists will be well known to our audience for producing aesthetically beautiful as well as conceptually compelling artworks."
Alongside the exhibition, the gallery will also be holding two events surrounding the theme and the artists involved in the exhibition, with a talk about the history of female artists due to be held on February 27 and a 'Meet the Artists' event showcasing the artists involved in the exhibition to be held on March 14.
The exhibition runs until March 29.
