As the table stands, the Panthers are sitting two points behind Hanwood and with the Leagues side able to pick up a maximum of 36 points across the final three games they still hold a good chance of reaching finals with Hanwood having next weekend off.
The return of Daniel Bozic to the line-up could prove crucial for the Panthers charge towards a top-four finish as he started with an innings of 38 which was the top score for his side.
The Cougars will be coming into the game off the back of a narrow loss at the hands of Exies Eagles and will be looking to take the points to keep hold of top spot heading into the final two rounds.
The loss for the Coro side ended seven-game undefeated streak which has seen them take a three-point lead at the top of the ladder.
The wickets of Dean Bennett and Haydn Pascoe will be crucial for the Panthers as the top order batsmen have had a strong season with Bennett averaging 68 since Christmas while Pascoe averages 45.
In the last meeting between the two sides in the shorter format, the Cougars were able to show their strength with a convincing 121-run victory.
