The Griffith Touch Association are sending four sides across to compete in the competition which is expected to attract over 200 teams with Griffith represented in the girls under 10s, under 12s, under 14s and under 16s competitions.
Steve Parr will be coaching the under 16s girls and said his side are looking forward to the challenge they have in front of them.
"We have been given a pretty tough draw this year," he said.
"We will be going up against Balmain, Wollongong, St George, South Sydney, Penrith, Young, Canterbury and last year's winners Orange."
Despite the tough draw, Parr is still confident his side will be up for the challenge.
"We had mostly bottom age girls last year, and I think they were a bit take aback by the competition," he said.
"They now have that experience under their belt and will know what they will be facing."
The four teams the association is sending is an improvement on last year's numbers, and Parr is hopeful the numbers will continue to grow in the coming years.
"It is great for it to be getting interest back into it," he said.
"We would have liked to have some boys teams heading along as well but couldn't find the coaches, but hopefully next year we will have people get on board."
The team will be wearing new uniforms which Parr also hopes will help to create some more interest among players.
