The top four in the GDCA third grade competition has been set in stone with two rounds remaining as Exies Eagles were able to secure their place in the final series with a bonus-point win over Hanwood.

It was a tough start for the Hanwood side who were sent into bat after losing the toss with the loss of four wickets for 13 runs with Ryan Bock (2/10) and Arjun Kamboj (2/7) doing the early damage. Gulfam Ahmed (23) was the only Hanwood batsmen to make an impact as Sam Irvin (3/5) ripped through the lower order to see Hanwood bowled out for 46.
The Eagles lost two wickets early to the bowling of Inam Illah (2/7) before Billy Evans, and Taine Moraschi set up the Eagles innings. Evans (3) was dismissed by Max Goirigolzarri (1/13) before Moraschi (28*) and Bock (7*) guided their side to a seven-wicket win.
At the top of the table, Coro has now moved 18-points clear after a 14-run win over Leagues. The Panthers made a good start with the ball with Michael Cudmore (1/8) and Oscar Nolan picking up two wickets.
Jake Rand (56) led the fightback for the Cougars with a fifty while Charlie Jones (12), Bohdy Martin (13) and Rhys Carnell (11*) chipped in while Nolan (2/8) and Nobeljit Kalsi (2/22) took the wickets as the Coro side were bowled out for 119.
Nolan (10) and Cudmore (24) made a strong start at the top of the order with a 35-run opening stand before Rand picked up the openers. Noah Gaske (12) and Kalsi (21) were the only other Panthers to reach double digits as Rand (3/2), and Thomas Camm (3/20) did the damage for the Cougars with the ball as the Panthers were dismissed for 105.
In the Friday night game, Coleambally was able to take a seven-wicket win.
The Nomads made a strong start with Blake McDonald (3/4) and James Buchanan (1/6) taking three early wickets before Ben Fattore and Ryan Garcia led a fightback. Fattore (32), Garcia (27*) and Christian Dall'est (14) scored the runs to see Diggers reach the end of their 35 overs on 9/97.
Coleambally did lose Nathan Hodgson (0) and James Clarke (0) before McDonald and Hannah Clarke got their side back on track. The pair put on 89 runs before Fattore (3/10) picked up the wicket of Clarke (21) leaving McDonald (50*) to hit the winning runs.
