The Diggers side won the toss and after rain fell on Friday night made the decision to use the conditions to their advantage. Damien Browning and Daniel Dossetor (3/12) ripped through the Cougars top and middle order to see Coro sitting on 6/15 after 10 overs.
Angus Kennedy and Andrew Potter mounted a small fightback with an 11-run partnership before Leon Vico picked up Potter (3), Andrew McIntyre (0) and Chris Sutton (0) in consecutive deliveries to see the Cougars struggling on 9/26.
When Kennedy (12) was caught behind off the bowling of Browning (3/4) the Coro side were bowled out for 31 in 20.4 overs.
The Cougars were going to need to make early breakthroughs if they were to have any chance and were able to pick up the wicket of Vico (5) who was bowled by Mark Burns.
That was the only wicket to fall however with Owen (11*) and Paresh Patil (9*) able to guide their side to a nine-wicket win with 26.3 overs still remaining.
The rain which fell on Friday night saw the games between Leagues and Hannwood as well as Coleambally and Exies Eagles called off without a ball being bowled.
