A single stableford was played last Saturday with 58 players. Jeff Wiscombe, 40 points, won A Grade from Len Carvell, 36 points, nailing birdies on the 2nd and 9th. Mgarau Noa, 38 points, was best in B Grade, with a birdie on the first. Tony Leadbitter, 36 points, was runner-up. Damon Cafe, 37 points, won C Grade with a birdie on the 11th, from Paul Josling, 35 points. Pro Pins to Brad Lemon and Paul Josling. A single stableford in two grades was played on Sunday. Jeff Wiscombe, 39 points, won 0-19 from Ennso Basai, 38 points. Steve Lightfoot, 42 points, was best in 20-54 ahead of Rob Favero, 40 points. Lightfoot won the 7th pin, Bary Northeast 11th. Vouchers to 33 points.
The board is seeking a member to take the position of junior promotions officer. With the increasing number of junior members, mentors are also needed. Juniors have free membership.
Sponsorship packages are available for the Pro Am on March 23. The week's events include Wednesday and Sunday single stablefords, and a versus par on Saturday.
The veterans played a single stableford last Thursday. Brad Fawcett, 36 points, won 0-19 ahead of Mick Catanzariti, 34 points. John Evans, 37 points, was best in 19-54; Wal Hood, 35 points, was second. Bill Brown won the 16th pin. Vouchers to 29 points.
