The Eagles won the toss and elected to bat and with Jamie and Justin Winkler putting on 29 for the first wicket before Justin (10) fell to the bowling of Haydn Pascoe (1/11).
The Eagles then lost two wickets either side of fifty with Phil Burge (7) and Tom Spry (7) both falling to the bowling of Jack Hutchison (2/23).
Winkler and Travers Pickmere were able to put on 29 runs for the fourth wicket to get their side up towards the 100-mark before Winkler (21) was caught off the bowling of Bennett.
Pickmere was able to keep the scoreboard ticking over however the bowling of Bennett and Rob Rand made it difficult for anyone to stick around with him.
Bennett (3/19) picked up the wickets of Pickmere (36) and Peter Davis (7) while Rand (4/3) knocked over Marc Tucker (0), Andy Arnold (0), Dunne Ashcroft (0) and Josh Davis (3) to see Exies bowled out for 108 in 37.3 overs.
The Cougars were left with 47 overs to score 109 however the early wicket of Mitch Williams-Hedges (0) who was caught off the bowling of Tucker saw Coro on the back foot.
Pascoe and Bennett got their side back on track however when Pascoe (15) was bowled by Ashcroft it triggered a collapse which saw Bennett (15), Rob Rand (1) and Tim Rand (0) with Ashcroft (2/13) and Connor Bock taking two wickets each.
With the score on 5/37, William Kennedy tried to rebuild the innings alongside Kyle Bennett however after a 27-run stand, Kyle (6) and Jamie Bennett (2) departed with Spry picking up the pair.
14 runs later the Coro side lost another two quick wickets with Alex Flood and Ben Signor falling to Spry (4/15) to see Coro sitting on 9/82.
With the Coro still having overs up their sleeve Hutchison joined Kennedy out in the middle, and they looked set to pick up the 12 points before was caught off the bowling of Bock to see the Eagles taking a three-run win and leapfrog Hanwood into third place.
