Hanwood won the toss and decided to send the Panthers in thinking there would be a bit in the deck early, and Ben Rowston was able to pick up the wickets of Ben Leach (8) and Matt Keenan (3).
The task for the Panthers looked even harder when Conor Edenden (2) fell to Rowston, and Angus Bartter (1/21) picked up the wicket of Andrew Madden (10)
At 4/31 there was a lot of pressure building on the middle order for the Leagues side, but captain Paul Plummer and the returning Daniel Bozic were able to start making an impression. Bozic and Plummer were able to put on 25 runs before Plummer was caught off the bowling of Brendan Hicken (1/27).
Vilish Patel joined Bozic out in the middle, and the pair were able to get their side into a better position as over the next seven overs they added 45 runs to the scoreboard before Bozic (38) was caught behind off the bowling of Charlie Cunial.
Patel (18) added some late runs before Rowston (6/16) finished his great day with the ball with two quick wickets to see the Panthers bowled out for 125 in 33 overs.
The Hanwood side had 52 overs in which to chase down the total but were on the back foot early with Brad Hornery (2) and Oliver Bartter (1) falling early to the bowling of Plummer (2/17).
Fawad Shah picked up Hicken (6) to see Hanwood fall to 3/24, leaving Micheal Crosato and Rowston to try and rebuild their innings before Jackson Hassan (1/11) picked up Crosato (19).
Edenden and Patel (1/5) picked up a couple of quick wickets to see Hanwood fall to 7/72, but Jamie Whitworth tried to give his side a chance. Whitworth and Dean Wynne added 33 runs to get their side over the 100-mark before Wynne (14) was bowled by Shah (2/21).
Tom Bartter joined Whitworth with their side needing 21 runs for victory however Edenden (3/30) removed Bartter (5) and with the side requiring seven for victory Hanwood tried to run a three however Keenan was able to get the ball in before Whitworth (25) made his ground to see the Panthers come away with the win.
